Norwich University has confirmed the appointment of Dylan Trombley as an assistant coach for its men’s basketball team, a move that deepens the program’s talent pipeline ahead of the upcoming season.
A strong collegiate pedigree
A 2022 graduate of SUNY Oneonta, Trombley played from 2018 to 2022 and earned All‑SUNYAC honors, leading the conference in three‑point percentage during the 2018‑19 season. His shooting accuracy helped the team secure a top‑ranking in field‑goal percentage the following year.
Proven impact at Plattsburgh State
During his tenure as an assistant at Plattsburgh State University, the Cardinals reached two SUNYAC semifinal appearances and produced four All‑Conference selections. The 2024‑25 squad finished first in points per game and second in field‑goal percentage, while Trombley contributed to the development of the conference Player of the Year and an NABC All‑American.
A dual academic background
Trombley holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and a Master of Science in Fitness and Wellness Leadership. His coaching experience also includes volunteer work at Moriah Central School and training AAU Wolfpack teams at the 15U and 17U levels, where he honed skills in player development, opponent scouting, recruiting and conditioning.
