EA Sports is set to bring its popular college football franchise back to the field with the launch of EA College Football 27 on July 9, 2026.
The announcement comes as part of a tightly scheduled rollout that will see the full game revealed on June 4, 2026, during a live stream on the EA Sports Madden NFL YouTube channel.
Cover art for the Standard Edition will spotlight three rising stars — quarterback Dante Moore, running back Malachi Toney and defensive end Kewan Lacy — while the Deluxe Edition expands the lineup to include additional athletes such as Curt Cignetti, Colin Simmons, Jayden Maiava and Leonard Moore.
Platform Reach and PC Rumors
The title will initially arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC version strongly rumored to be in development, marking the first time the series embraces the platform.
Early Access and Membership Perks
EA Play members will gain early access starting July 2, receiving a ten‑hour trial that lets them test the game before the public launch. Subscribers to the Pro tier will unlock the full Pro Edition on July 6, along with recurring College Ultimate Team packs and a discount on other EA digital content.
The release window coincides with that of Madden 27, another flagship EA sports title slated for a summer launch, underscoring the company’s strategy of aligning its major sports releases.
Industry observers note that a PC launch would bring the franchise in line with other EA sports offerings, potentially widening the audience and reinforcing the company’s cross‑platform ambitions.
