EA Sports has confirmed that the newest edition of its college football series, titled College Football 27, will hit the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on July 9. The announcement, made earlier this week, also outlined two distinct early‑access windows that will let dedicated fans get their hands on the game before the official launch.
Early Access Windows
Players who purchase the MVP Bundle will receive early access starting on July 2, while those who opt for the Deluxe Edition can begin playing on July 6. Both windows are designed to reward the most enthusiastic supporters and to generate buzz ahead of the full release.
Among the features highlighted in the rollout is a refreshed ranking of the most demanding venues for gamers, based on fan sentiment and historical performance data. Ohio Stadium, home of the Ohio Buckeyes, climbs to the second spot on the list, trailing only LSU's iconic Tiger Stadium.
The shift reflects a notable change from the previous iteration, where Ohio Stadium had been ranked third. This year's edition also includes venues such as Penn State's Beaver Stadium, Georgia's Sanford Stadium, Alabama's Bryant‑Denny Stadium, and others that round out the top ten most challenging locations.
EA Sports says the updated stadium rankings aim to capture the unique atmosphere each arena creates, from crowd noise to field conditions, giving players a more authentic sense of what it feels like to compete in college football's toughest battlegrounds.
