EA Sports has confirmed that College Football 27 will be released on July 9, with a staggered rollout that grants premium subscribers early access. MVP+ members can begin playing on July 2, while owners of the deluxe edition and the MVP bundle gain entry on July 6, and standard edition purchasers will be able to play on the official launch date.
Key Features and Availability
The third installment of the franchise introduces an expanded dynasty mode that integrates name, image and likeness (NIL) mechanics, smoother gameplay, and a richer set of playbooks. A long‑awaited mascot mode returns, allowing players to control team mascots with exaggerated animations that add a layer of chaotic fun to each match.
For the first time the series will be available on PC alongside consoles, and it will be offered in several tiers. The standard edition retails at $69.99, the deluxe edition at $99.99, and the MVP bundle, which includes Madden 27, at $139.99. Each tier unlocks a specific early‑access window as outlined above.
EA Play subscribers also receive a 10‑hour trial starting July 2, while the MVP+ membership itself is priced at $149.99 per year, providing additional benefits and early access.
With these enhancements, EA aims to deliver a more authentic college‑football experience that captures the pageantry, strategy and sheer excitement of the sport, building on the franchise’s legacy while pushing it into new territory.
