EA Sports’ latest rankings have placed Ohio Stadium as the second‑toughest venue to play in college football, moving up from the third spot a year ago.
The colossal structure, which ranks as the third‑largest stadium in the sport behind Michigan Stadium and Beaver Stadium, is renowned for its massive capacity and the roar that can intimidate visiting teams.
While the atmosphere can shift depending on kickoff time, especially during daylight games, Ohio State has turned the venue into a fortress, dropping only three home games in Columbus since 2018.
The upcoming release of EA Sports College Football 27 on July 9 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will feature additional rankings covering top teams, offenses, defenses and full‑team ratings, with early access scheduled for July 2 for MVP+ members and July 6 for Deluxe Edition buyers.
