A new era of college football gaming
Electronic Arts has announced the upcoming release of NCAA Football 2027, a title that will feature 72 playable athletes who hail from Wisconsin and have already secured spots on Football Bowl Subdivision programs.
The game promises a variety of play styles, offering both online competition and offline experiences, as well as distinct modes that let players experiment with different strategies.
Spotlight on Wisconsin talent
Central to the experience are the player ratings, which break down into overall score as well as specific attributes such as speed and strength, allowing fans to compare the talents on the virtual field.
Among the standout names is Drew Evans, a Fort Atkinson native whose overall rating tops the list at 91, while his strength rating of 96 also leads the pack.
Another Wisconsin standout, Corey Smith from Catholic Memorial in Toledo, earns the highest speed rating of 93, underscoring the state’s depth of athletic talent.
Beyond the numbers, the title includes contributions from local voices, including Colton Wilson, who has spent a decade covering high school sports in Wisconsin and now serves as a basketball coach.
