EA Sports has just unveiled its official Top 25 college football rankings, setting the stage for the upcoming release of College Football 27.
The preseason list is dominated by Big Ten programs, with Oregon securing the No. 1 spot and a 91 overall rating, while Ohio State and Indiana share the No. 2 position at 90 points each.
Big Ten’s Early Edge
Oregon’s ascent is largely credited to head coach Dan Lanning, whose recruiting and development work has produced what many analysts consider the most dominant roster in the conference.
Ohio State returns quarterback Julian Sayin and wideout Jeremiah Smith, both of whom are expected to bolster the Buckeyes’ offense, while Indiana is retooling at the quarterback spot with former TCU starter Josh Hoover slated to take the helm in 2026.
Texas, the SEC favorite, is anchored by quarterback Arch Manning, adding another layer of intrigue to the Longhorns’ title aspirations, whereas Notre Dame enters the conversation as a College Football Playoff favorite with its 89 rating.
