A daunting road ahead
EA Sports has just published its ranking of the 25 most challenging stadiums to compete in for the upcoming College Football 27, a list that notably omits the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the home of the USC Trojans.
The Trojans will soon travel to three of the top‑20 venues this fall, beginning with a showdown at No. 3 Penn State in State College and later facing No. 17 Indiana in Bloomington, while home games against Ohio State, Oregon and Washington will be played on their own turf.
Road matchups and home advantage
Beyond the upcoming schedule, USC’s road record in top‑25 stadiums since 2017 reads 0‑14, with the only exception being a 2020 victory at Utah that was played without fans, underscoring the difficulty of winning away from the Coliseum.
This season the team hopes to break that streak, aiming to secure marquee road wins and to elevate the Coliseum’s profile enough to crack the top fifteen in future rankings, with quarterback Jayden Maiava poised to lead the offense.
Fan power and stadium atmosphere
Fans are being urged to pack the stands, arrive early, stay late, and create a relentless noise level that makes the venue a genuine home‑field advantage for the Trojans, turning the Coliseum into a fortress that opponents dread.
College Football 27 is slated for release in early July, promising a fresh batch of stadium challenges that will test teams across the nation and give USC another chance to prove its mettle on the road.
