A New Chapter for Bryant Alumni
Earl Timberlake, a standout graduate of Bryant University, has earned a spot in the NBA Summer League roster of the Milwaukee Bucks, a development platform that has launched the careers of many aspiring professionals.
Timberlake's first overseas experience came in Portugal's Liga Betclic, where he posted averages of 9.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.9 blocks per game while shooting 55 percent from the field and registering four double‑digit rebound games.
The performance marked a seamless transition from college to senior competition, a trajectory that mirrors his collegiate dominance at Bryant, where he amassed 1,332 points, 773 rebounds, 349 assists, 115 blocks and 98 steals over three seasons.
He remains the only player in school history to cross the 1,000‑point, 700‑rebound, 300‑assist and 100‑block thresholds, a testament to his all‑around impact.
Timberlake helped the Bulldogs capture America East regular‑season and tournament titles and advance to the NCAA Tournament twice, earning both the Kevin Roberson Player of the Year award and the Reggie Lewis Tournament Most Outstanding Player honor.
Joining him on the summer league circuit will be teammate Barry Evans, who received an invitation from the Phoenix Suns after a strong rookie season that saw him average 13.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game before concluding his college eligibility at VCU for the 2025‑26 campaign.
Both players are slated to open their Summer League action on July 4 as part of the California Classic, a showcase that will pit them against a mix of prospects and veteran unsigned free agents.
The Bucks' participation in the California Classic underscores the franchise's commitment to evaluating talent in a high‑intensity environment, and Timberlake's presence adds a narrative of a college star ready to test himself against professional competition.
For Bryant, the dual invitations highlight the university's growing pipeline into elite basketball programs, a trend that began with the program's historic back‑to‑back America East titles and continued NCAA Tournament appearances.
As the summer unfolds, Timberlake and Evans will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills on a national stage, potentially shaping their professional trajectories and inspiring the next generation of Bulldogs.
