All-Star Selections Announced
The 48th Annual West Nebraska All-Star Football Game and the 42nd Annual West Nebraska All-Star Volleyball Game have revealed their East and West rosters, showcasing the region's top high school talent selected by a committee of coaches and administrators.
Both contests will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, bringing together students from a wide swath of western counties for a celebration of sport and community.
Game Details and Schedule
The football showdown is slated to begin at 11:00 a.m. MDT at Bearcat Stadium, while the volleyball competition will follow at 3:00 p.m. MDT in the WNCC Cougar Palace. The staggered timing allows families and fans to experience both events without overlap.
A portion of the ticket proceeds will be directed to local nonprofit organizations, reinforcing the games' longstanding mission of giving back to the communities that support them.
Coaches Lead the Way
West Football will be guided by Joe Vetrovsky of McCook, while East Football's head coach is Brandon Cool from Kearney. In volleyball, the West squad will have Jodi Craig of Morrill and Lisa Merritt of Hay Springs sharing head coaching duties, and Julie Ratka of Minden will steer the East team.
Roster highlights reveal a geographic spread of talent. The West football team includes standouts from Garden County, McCook and North Platte St. Pat’s, whereas the East football side features players from Cambridge, Lexington and Kearney. On the volleyball side, the West roster draws from Scottsbluff, Hitchcock County and Bridgeport, while the East side includes athletes from Gothenburg, Sumner-Eddyville-Miller and Axtell.
