Eastern Kentucky University has released the complete slate of home football games for the 2026 season, outlining game times, promotional themes, and a host of fan‑focused activities that will take place at CG Bank Field at Roy Kidd Stadium.
Season Kickoff and Early Fan Giveaways
The season opens on September 12, and the first 1,000 attendees will receive a commemorative t‑shirt presented by Coca‑Cola. A week later, on September 19, children twelve and under can claim a complimentary ticket and take part in the annual halftime run across the field.
Beyond the early‑season excitement, the university will honor military personnel, active‑duty service members, first responders, and healthcare workers during pregame ceremonies on the final home game of the season, November 14.
Hall of Fame and Homecoming Celebrations
On October 3, EKU will welcome back members of the 1979, 1980, 1981, and 1982 football teams, creating a nostalgic reunion for alumni and current fans alike. A week later, the program will induct its 2026 Hall of Fame class during the October 10 contest.
Homecoming festivities will culminate on October 24, when the university crowns its 2026 Homecoming King and Queen, adding a traditional celebration to the football schedule.
The senior class will be recognized prior to kickoff on November 14, providing a final tribute before the season’s close. Throughout the year, the university has also launched a Drive for 5K campaign, aiming to secure 5,000 season ticket holders, with tickets available starting at $69.
