Eastern Washington University announced this week that Kendall Moore will assume the role of Director of Player Development for the Eagles' men's basketball program, effective immediately. The appointment marks a strategic move to bolster the team's developmental pipeline as the program enters its third year under head coach Dan Monson.
A Versatile Playing Background
Moore's basketball journey spans five collegiate stops, including The Master's University, Carroll College, Purdue Northwest, Corban University and Chipola College. At Carroll College he earned Second Team All‑Frontier Conference honors, while at The Master's University he received All‑Golden State Athletic Conference recognition, underscoring his scoring prowess and leadership as a point guard.
Head coach Dan Monson praised Moore's work ethic, energy and leadership, noting that his recent on‑court experience will be a major asset as the team prepares for the 2026‑27 season. Monson emphasized that Moore's ability to connect with student‑athletes will enhance both skill development and personal growth.
In his new role Moore will work closely with players on and off the court, focusing on basketball IQ, skill refinement and holistic development. His approach is expected to accelerate the program's progress and reinforce the Eagles' competitive edge in the Big Sky Conference.
The Eagles are slated to open their 2026‑27 campaign this fall, and the addition of Moore is viewed as a key component of the team's long‑term strategy. With Monson at the helm and Moore guiding player development, Eastern Washington aims to build on recent successes and contend for conference contention.
