Fall Camp Kicks Off
Eastern Washington University’s football squad reported to the campus practice fields on July 29, 2024, to begin its annual fall camp, a three‑week stretch that will feature twenty sessions and two controlled scrimmages before the team opens the 2026 campaign.
Morning workouts are slated to run from 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. through August 19, giving players a compact window to sharpen fundamentals before the season‑opening test in Flagstaff. The first public scrimmage, dubbed the Red Turf Takeover, will be held on August 13 at ONE Spokane Stadium and is open to fans who want a first‑look at the revamped roster.
Media members will be invited to attend the opening practice and will have additional chances to interview head coach Aaron Best as well as standout student‑athletes Isaiah Perez and Malik Dotson after both scrimmages, ensuring coverage of the team’s progress throughout the camp.
Beyond the field, Best, Perez and Dotson will represent Eastern at the Big Sky Kickoff Weekend in Spokane from July 25‑27, an event that blends preseason hype with community engagement and media outreach.
Season Outlook
The 2026 season officially begins on August 29, when the Eagles travel to face Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, marking the first of what the university hopes will be a competitive slate within the Big Sky Conference.
