The 27‑year‑old forward spent the 2025‑26 AHL season with the Grand Rapids Griffins, netting 26 goals and adding four tallies in eight Calder Cup playoff games, earning praise from coach Dan Watson for his power‑play prowess and net‑front presence.
Beyond club duties, Tralmaks joined Latvia’s roster at the recent IIHF World Championship, where teammate Martins Dzierkals described him as “a great player” and highlighted his impact on the international stage.
NHL ambitions linger
Despite the European commitments, the Latvian‑born player has not closed the door on an NHL return, noting that any credible offer from the Detroit Red Wings or another NHL franchise could lure him back to North America.
