The honor celebrates leadership, character and teamwork among top student‑athletes

The Peachtree City Youth Basketball Association has announced a $1,000 scholarship for eight outstanding student‑athletes who have demonstrated leadership, character, teamwork and dedication on and off the court.

Celebrating Excellence

The scholarships were presented during ceremonies at Kedron Fieldhouse and Starr’s Mill Auditorium, where families, coaches and school officials gathered to celebrate the honorees.

Among the recipients are Luke Aerstin, Joey Layman, Mason Morningstar, Kelsie Alonso, Adam Ross, Tyler Cape, Alex Ruiz and Will Price, each of whom has contributed significantly to their teams and communities.

Alan Livsey, a longtime mentor in the program, was also acknowledged for his behind‑the‑scenes contributions, underscoring the association’s commitment to holistic development.

School administrators praised the initiative, noting that the financial support will help ease the burden of educational expenses while reinforcing the values of sportsmanship and community service.

The program, now in its latest iteration, continues to set a benchmark for youth athletics in the region, encouraging other organizations to invest in the next generation of leaders.
