First Stop: Building the Next Generation of El Paso Soccer Players

El Paso Locomotive FC is opening its doors to the youngest fans with a new youth soccer initiative called First Stop, designed for children between five and nine years old.

The program runs for ten weeks, culminating in eight competitive matches that showcase each child’s progress on the field.

Practices are held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, while game days fall on Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings at the Sunland Park Sports Complex.

Participants receive a full kit that includes long socks, shin guards, appropriate footwear, a soccer ball and a branded Locomotive jersey, all provided as part of the registration fee.

Beyond skill development, First Stop emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship and the understanding that growth in sport is a journey rather than a race.

The upcoming season kicks off on September 7 and runs through November 14, and registration remains open for families eager to join.
