Hamilton College announced that eleven members of its women's ice hockey program have been named to the 2025‑26 AHCA Krampade All‑American Scholar list, a distinction that recognizes academic achievement alongside athletic participation.
The Scholar Criteria
To earn the honor, student‑athletes must maintain a minimum 3.75 grade point average each semester and appear in at least 40 percent of the team's games. Exceptions were made for injured players and backup goaltenders, ensuring that those who contributed in limited capacities could still be acknowledged.
Head Coach Kayte Holtz, who has led the team through a rigorous schedule, praised the scholars for their dedication both on the rink and in the classroom. Under her guidance, the program has balanced competitive play with a strong emphasis on academic support.
Spotlight on Scholars
Among the honorees, Lydia Bullock of the class of 2026 earned her third All‑American Scholar distinction, while Sophie Berghammer, a native of Evanston, Illinois, transferred from Culver Academies. Teagan Brown from Northville, Michigan, and Grace Crowley of Wayland, Massachusetts, each continue to demonstrate how disciplined time management can thrive in a demanding collegiate environment.
The cohort also includes Mac Donovan of Falls Church, Virginia; Cate Gallagher from Easton, Massachusetts; Brooke Heck of Tampa, Florida; Sarah Myziuk of Macomb, Michigan; Sophia Rodham of Madison, Connecticut; Sophia Testa of Cromwell, Connecticut; and Sarah Wagner of Bay Shore, New York. Their diverse backgrounds reflect the broad reach of Hamilton's hockey program across the United States.
