Elijah Hughes is set to wear the colors of Boeheim’s Army, the Syracuse alumni team that competes in The Basketball Tournament (TBT) each summer. The roster move comes as the squad gears up for a marquee best‑of‑three series against Seton Hall’s alumni squad, a matchup that promises to showcase some of the best former college talent on the court.
The Series Schedule
Game one will take place on July 21 at Seton Hall’s Walsh Gymnasium in South Hall, New Jersey, and will be broadcast live on FS1. Two days later, the action shifts to Upstate Medical Arena in Syracuse, where Game two will be streamed on FS2. If a third game is required, it will also be held in Syracuse on July 24, again on FS2, giving fans a chance to see the series decide on home court.
Hughes arrives after a collegiate career that saw him earn First‑team All‑ACC honors as a senior at Syracuse and get selected with the 39th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Although his NBA stint was brief, he spent time with the Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers before embarking on a professional journey that took him to leagues in Spain, Germany and Puerto Rico, as well as stints in the G League.
A New Chapter for Boeheim’s Army
Boeheim’s Army has built a reputation for competitive, alumni‑driven play, and the addition of Hughes adds a fresh layer of experience and skill. His background in the ACC and international professional basketball brings a unique perspective that could prove decisive in the tightly contested series. Fans of Syracuse basketball will be watching closely as the team looks to translate its storied legacy into another memorable tournament run.
