Middlebury College has named Elissa Chojnicki as the newest assistant coach on the women's basketball staff, a move that brings a blend of analytical rigor and creative energy to the program.
Chojnicki arrives after two seasons as an assistant at Southern New Hampshire University, where she crafted scouting reports, designed in‑game strategies and oversaw the team's social media presence.
Her professional journey began in Los Angeles, where she produced award‑winning films and worked at Rogue Rocket Productions, honing a keen eye for detail that now informs her approach to play analysis.
Before her West Coast stint, Chojnicki started her coaching career at the California Institute of Technology, serving as an assistant coach and East Coast recruiter, a role that expanded her network across the United States.
She also directs a camp program for NH Hoop Skills and volunteers as a youth basketball coach with N'Zone Sports, experiences that keep her grounded in player development beyond the collegiate level.
A Coach With a Multifaceted Vision
Head coach KJ Krasco praised Chojnicki's energy, attitude and enthusiasm, noting that her cross‑coastal recruiting connections will enrich the Panthers' talent pipeline.
Krasco added that Chojnicki is passionate about helping each player grow both on the hardwood and in the classroom, a philosophy that aligns with Middlebury's liberal arts mission.
Chojnicki holds a bachelor's degree in marketing communication and a master's in communication management from Emerson College, where she was a four‑year starter and two‑time GNAC All‑Academic selection.
Beyond tactics, she emphasizes character building and community engagement, aiming to make a lasting impact on the student‑athletes she mentors.
