The Elite 20 Invitational, organized by Ta’Quan Zimmerman, is set to take place at Shelton High School in Connecticut on August 11, 2026, gathering some of the nation’s most highly ranked high school basketball prospects.
Both boys and girls teams will feature players such as Demarcus Henry, a 6‑foot‑7 small forward ranked third on ESPN’s 2027 SC Next 100, and Aden Diggs, a 6‑4 senior guard listed No. 5 by ESPN and No. 2 by 247 Sports.
The showcase also includes standout point guard Kaleena Smith, the top-ranked player in the 2027 class according to ESPN, and Tatiana Griffin, the leading prospect in the 2028 class.

The event is open to the public at no cost and will be broadcast live on the NBA App, giving fans worldwide a chance to watch the next generation of talent.
Zimmerman, who endured bullying as a youth, created the Invitational to turn his personal hardship into a positive force, using basketball as a vehicle for his anti‑bullying message.
The competition has a history of rotating venues, having previously been hosted at Trinity College in Hartford and East Catholic in Manchester, before settling at Shelton High School.
