Avent finishes as the winningest coach in NC State history, with more than 1,000 victories at the school and over 1,300 wins across his Division I career. Under his guidance the Wolfpack earned College World Series berths in 2013, 2021 and 2024, cementing the program’s reputation on the national stage.
The milestone 1,000th win arrived during the 2024 season, a year that also highlighted the program’s resilience. After a slow start, the 2021 team rallied to reach the College World Series, illustrating Avent’s ability to inspire comeback narratives.
