Emma Vick Launches Second Annual Youth Soccer Camp in Scottsville

Former Lady Patriots star aims to inspire the next generation of players through hands‑on training and confidence‑building sessions

Emma Vick, a former standout on the Allen County‑Scottsville Lady Patriots soccer team, is again opening the doors of The CORE to young athletes this summer. The week‑long camp welcomes boys and girls between 7 and 12 and runs through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Fundamentals on the field

Participants move through a series of drills, small‑sided games and hands‑on instruction designed to sharpen ball control, passing accuracy and spatial awareness. The activities blend technical work with playful competition, ensuring that each child experiences both growth and enjoyment.

Vick’s own trajectory — becoming the first Lady Patriots player to sign with a college program in 2024 — serves as a central theme of the camp. She says she wants each camper to leave with a stronger sense of confidence and a clearer vision of the possibilities that await them in the sport.

A vision for the future

Beyond technical skills, the program emphasizes personal growth. Vick encourages the children to set goals, celebrate small victories and carry that momentum onto the field and into other areas of their lives, fostering a lasting passion for soccer.
