A milestone departure
Dr. Eric Jacuzzi revealed on LinkedIn that he will step down from his position as Vice President of Vehicle Performance at NASCAR, bringing to a close a 12.5‑year tenure that began with his entry as an aerodynamicist engineer.
Throughout his career he played a pivotal role in crafting the series’ aero package, a effort that earned the 2023 Aerodynamicist of the Year award for NASCAR’s Garage 56 project at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
His technical contributions extended beyond stock cars, including significant work on the 24 Hours of Le Mans and collaborations that helped refine the aerodynamic standards of modern racing.
Jacuzzi also lent his expertise to the USA Luge Olympic team, further showcasing the breadth of his engineering background and his willingness to support diverse sporting initiatives.
In his announcement he expressed deep gratitude to his colleagues and to TotalSim US for their steadfast support, and he conveyed excitement about the next chapter of his professional journey.
