ESPN Events is set to launch a new multi-year men’s college basketball showcase that will rotate across host cities, beginning in Columbus, Ohio, on November 29, 2026.
The inaugural event, dubbed the A10/American Showcase, will feature a doubleheader at Nationwide Arena, pitting Memphis against Dayton and South Florida against Saint Louis in a neutral-site format designed to boost the national profile of the Atlantic 10 and American Athletic conferences.
A Strategic Partnership
Jeff Wilson, director of ESPN Events, has been instrumental in negotiating the agreement with the Atlantic 10 and American Athletic conferences. His role underscores ESPN’s commitment to giving emerging programs a national platform while helping teams strengthen their résumés ahead of the NCAA tournament.
Commissioners from both conferences expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting that the showcase will not only elevate their brands but also provide student-athletes with high-visibility competition on a neutral court.
Future editions will rotate participating schools and host locations, with game times and ESPN platform designations to be announced later. Ticket sales are slated to open in the fall of 2026, giving fans ample opportunity to attend the opening night.
