All-Region Selections Celebrate Local Talent
On May 26, D3baseball.com together with the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) unveiled their all-region teams, spotlighting exceptional performers from the Liberty League and beyond. The announcement underscored the growing influence of regional programs on the national Division III landscape.
Ethan Fantel, the Liberty League Player of the Year, earned a first‑team nod at first base. His season statistics were eye‑catching: a .444 batting average, 58 runs batted in and an OPS of 1.326, figures that placed him among the most dominant hitters in the conference.
Sheldon Jay Walker III was selected to the third team as an outfielder. Walker posted a .387 average, scored a team‑leading 53 runs and stole 22 bases, demonstrating speed and consistency that helped his squad win 30 games with at least one run.
