A Rocky Start Turns Into a Rehab Journey
Ethan Frey entered the 2026 minor league season as a promising outfielder for the Asheville Tourists, the High‑A affiliate of the Houston Astros. The campaign began on a high note, but the momentum was abruptly halted in June when a injury landed him on the seven‑day injured list.
Frey’s rehabilitation began on July 3, when he reported to the FCL Astros for a rehab assignment. The move gave the former LSU standout a chance to regain his timing while the organization monitored his recovery closely.
