Boston College has announced that Eunicia Salgado, its newest women's basketball recruit, is set to represent Canada at the upcoming FIBA U18 Women's AmeriCup 2026.
A Global Stage in Mexico
The tournament will be held in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico, bringing together elite under‑18 teams from across the Americas, including Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, the United States, Venezuela and the host nation.
Salgado, a 6‑1 forward from Boucherville, Quebec, arrives as the seventh‑ranked recruit from Canada and comes off a standout season that saw her help Canada capture the Grind Session Women's World Title in 2024‑25. Her accolades also include a WNPA national championship, a spot on the RSEQ First‑Team All‑Star and the 2024 RSEQ Most Valuable Player award.
Currently positioned third in the FIBA women's age‑group rankings, Canada enters the competition with high expectations, and Salgado's participation is seen as a key factor in the team's pursuit of a podium finish.
