Silvertips Add Finnish Talent

The Everett Silvertips have officially announced the addition of Atte Vuori, a 2008-born forward from Espoo, Finland, under a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. The move comes after Vuori’s standout season with Kiekko‑Espoo U20, where he combined skill with a high hockey IQ.

Vuori’s offensive output was striking: he posted seven goals and 25 assists in 37 games for the U20 side, and added 13 points in 16 playoff contests while helping the team capture the U20 SM‑sarja championship. In the 2024‑25 campaign he tallied 11 goals, 40 assists and 51 points in 38 games for the U18 squad, and he contributed three goals with nine assists in ten games during the 2025‑26 season.

General manager Mike Fraser praised the new signing, noting that Vuori brings a quick, smart and creative style to the lineup. “We’re excited to integrate a player who can adapt to the North American game and contribute immediately,” Fraser said in the announcement.

Internationally, Vuori represented Finland at the 2026 U18 World Junior Championships, registering an assist in five appearances. His performance earned him a spot on the roster alongside fellow Finnish import Matias Vanhanen, a connection that could bolster the team’s chemistry.

The Silvertips’ roster now features two Finnish players, a fact that aligns with the club’s strategy of scouting talent across Europe. Vuori’s signing underscores the team’s commitment to developing young talent through the WHL’s development pathway.
