eVero Corporation, a leading provider of software solutions for the Home and Community-Based Services sector, has been named the Official Event Sponsor of the U.S. National Intellectual Impairment (Hockey ii) Team as it prepares for the 2026 FIH Para Hockey World Cup. The company’s involvement underscores its long‑standing commitment to inclusion and empowerment of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
A historic debut for the U.S. squad
The tournament will be staged across two European nations, Belgium and the Netherlands, from August 21 to 25, 2026. This edition will mark the first-ever international competition for the U.S. National Hockey ii Team, giving the athletes a platform to showcase their talent on a global stage.
Organizers have designed the competition as a co‑ed event, with each side fielding ten adult athletes and supported by a five‑member coaching and management staff. The format reflects the International Hockey Federation’s (FIH) enduring focus on diversity and inclusion for athletes with intellectual disabilities, a cause the federation has championed for over fourteen years.
eVero’s technology suite brings together electronic health records, Self‑Direction program management, Medicaid billing and electronic medication administration into a single, connected ecosystem. The platform empowers caregivers and individuals with I/DD by streamlining daily tasks and improving outcomes across the care continuum.
Christos Morris, chief executive of eVero, said the partnership aligns with the company’s two‑decade mission to improve outcomes for caregivers and people with I/DD, while Simon Hoskins, chief executive of USA Field Hockey, highlighted the significance of the sponsorship for the sport’s growth and visibility.
USA Field Hockey, the national governing body headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, will coordinate the team’s participation, drawing on its more than twenty years of experience to guide the athletes through this historic debut.
The International Hockey Federation, based in Switzerland, has been a driving force behind inclusive hockey for over a decade. Its support for the Para Hockey World Cup underscores a broader commitment to ensuring that athletes of all abilities have the opportunity to compete at the highest level.
With almost 25 years of experience supporting I/DD communities, eVero’s involvement signals a broader commitment to embedding inclusive practices within sport and social services alike. The partnership is expected to set a precedent for future collaborations that blend technology, empowerment and athletic excellence.
