Community Soccer Initiative Returns to Fairfield

Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church is set to launch its 2026 Upward Soccer program, inviting children from kindergarten through fifth grade to take part in a season that blends skill development with a focus on fun and sportsmanship.

Evaluations will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and on Monday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the church’s facilities, giving families a chance to meet coaches and be placed on teams.

Parents can register their children either online through the Fairfield CP Upward Basketball, Cheerleading & Soccer Facebook page or in person during the evaluation sessions, ensuring a straightforward sign‑up process.

The first matches are slated for September 12, marking the official start of the 2026 season and kicking off a series of games that will run throughout the fall.

Program Overview

The league is designed for youngsters in kindergarten through fifth grade, offering a structured yet inclusive environment where participants can learn the fundamentals of soccer while building confidence and teamwork.

By integrating the Upward brand’s emphasis on positive competition, the program aims to create a supportive atmosphere that extends beyond the field, encouraging families to stay involved throughout the season.
