Fairmont State University is set to host a summer youth basketball camp that will run from June 8 through June 11 at its Joe Retton Arena on the Fairmont campus. The event brings together young athletes from across the region for a focused yet enjoyable experience on the court.
Camp Focus and Offerings
The program blends skill development with pure fun, giving participants a chance to sharpen their fundamentals while enjoying the camaraderie of a team setting. Each day is structured to balance drills, games and interactive learning sessions.
Open to boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade, the camp provides a Fairmont State basketball t‑shirt and a daily lunch, ensuring that attendees are equipped and nourished throughout the experience without additional logistical concerns.
Instruction will be led by members of the university’s men’s basketball staff, including Assistant Coach Trent Howard, who will emphasize fundamentals, teamwork and sportsmanship while fostering a love for the game.
