Woodland Hills’ Wolvarena, meanwhile, earned accolades from USA Today Network, ESPN and MaxPreps, placing it among the top tier of high school fields according to national rankings that consider tradition, atmosphere and fan experience.
In Aliquippa, Heinz Field — nicknamed “The Pit” — blends vintage charm with a 2023 renovation that refreshed its seating and lighting, preserving a site that has witnessed countless memorable drives since the 1930s.
Belle Vernon’s James Weir Stadium stands out for its striking gold turf and a lifeguard chair perched above the field, a nod to the stadium’s dual focus on athletics and safety.
