Ferris State University will host its 23rd annual men’s basketball golf outing on July 22 at the scenic Katke Golf Course, located in Big Rapids, Michigan.
The event, priced at $110 per participant or $440 per team, includes a full round of golf, a catered lunch and a series of on‑course contests, with all proceeds earmarked for the Bulldogs’ basketball program.
New head coach Brooks Miller, the 15th coach in the program’s history, will be on hand to meet players, donors and supporters, adding a fresh storyline to a tradition that has endured for more than two decades.
A New Era Under Coach Miller
Since its inception, the Bulldogs have amassed over 1,300 career victories, captured 17 GLIAC championships and reached the NCAA Division II Sweet Sixteen five times since 2004, underscoring a legacy of sustained excellence.
Beyond the numbers, the program has become a fixture in the Midwest basketball landscape, qualifying for the NCAA Tournament nine times in the past 11 seasons and maintaining a streak of 20‑win campaigns in ten of the last eleven full years.
The outing draws alumni, local businesses and fans who share a commitment to supporting student‑athletes, and it continues to reinforce the university’s role as a community hub for both sport and philanthropy.
