A 35‑game slate includes home‑and‑home series with Western Michigan, a holiday tournament at UBS Arena, and a showdown with the University of Michigan

Ferris State University has unveiled the complete schedule for its men's ice hockey team for the 2026‑27 season, a slate that promises a busy stretch of competition from October through March.

Season Overview

The schedule comprises 35 contests, of which 34 are regular‑season games and one is an exhibition match, giving the Bulldogs a full slate of opponents across the country.

The season opens with a road series at Canisius on October 2‑3, before the team travels to Ann Arbor for a much‑anticipated series at the University of Michigan and Yost Arena.

Key Matchups

Early in the campaign, Ferris State will host a home‑and‑home series against Western Michigan University, a rivalry that often produces tightly contested games.

Throughout January and February the Bulldogs are slated to play 14 conference games within the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, setting the stage for the Mason Cup playoffs.

Notable opponents on the roster include Minnesota State, Michigan Tech, Northern Michigan, and the University of Michigan, each bringing a different style of play to the Bulldogs' lineup.

Home Ice and Holiday Tournament

The Bulldogs will play 16 home games in the Ewigleben Ice Arena, a venue that has become a cornerstone of the program.

In December the team will travel to the UBS Arena in Uniondale, New York, to compete in the Empire State Holiday Invitational.

Mason Cup Pursuit

The quest for the Mason Cup begins with the CCHA Quarterfinals scheduled for March 5‑7, marking the culmination of a season that has been carefully crafted to balance competition and development.
