The FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2027 will bring together sixteen national teams in a single tournament, continuing a tradition that began with the 2013 edition hosted by the Czech Republic.
How the teams earned their places
In Asia, the four semifinalists of the 2026 FIBA U18 Asia Cup — Australia, China, New Zealand and Korea — secured the continental berths.
From Africa, Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal emerged as first‑time champions after winning the 2026 FIBA U18 AfroBasket, earning the two available slots.
The Americas will be represented by Canada, the United States, Brazil and Puerto Rico, who qualified through the 2026 FIBA U18 AmeriCup, with Canada capturing its inaugural title by defeating the United States in the final.
Europe contributed five nations — Slovenia, Italy, France, Spain and Germany — who earned their places after reaching the semifinals of the 2026 FIBA U18 EuroBasket.
The tournament is scheduled to take place in Pardubice, Czechia, from 26 June to 4 July 2027. The city previously hosted the competition in 2013, reinforcing the country’s commitment to developing junior basketball on the world stage.
