The FIBA Women's Basketball League Asia (WBL Asia) 2026 has finalized its schedule and group allocations, confirming that the third edition of the competition will take place in October at Bengaluru’s Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in India.

Tournament Structure

Six franchises will contest the tournament, with Sichuan Yuanda Meile of China returning as the inaugural champions, while the Philippines' Akari Sparks make their debut alongside the experienced Cathay Life Tigers in Group A.

Group B features Japan's Denso Iris, Korea's Cheongju KB Stars and India's Indian Railways, the host nation, all grouped according to the FIBA World Ranking for Women presented by NIKE.

The Group Phase runs from October 20 to 22 in a single round‑robin format, after which the top two teams from each pool advance to the Semi‑Finals. The Semi‑Final winners will meet in the championship game on October 25, with the losing sides contesting a Third‑Place match, and the classification match for the 5th‑6th positions scheduled for October 24.

All matches will be staged at the Sree Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, providing a centralized venue for the competition.
