Five members of the Drury University baseball team have been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District squad, a testament to their combined excellence on the diamond and in the classroom.
The honor, which requires a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and significant playing time, underscores the Panthers' strong performance this season, finishing with a 32‑21 record and a 22‑10 mark in the GLVC that placed them tied for third in the conference standings.
Academic Excellence Meets Athletic Performance
Among the honorees, senior outfielder Connor Bain stands out as a three‑time recipient, having posted a team‑best .406 average, 10 home runs and a single‑season record 68 RBIs while earning First‑Team D2CCA All‑Midwest Region accolades.
Standout Performances
Sophomore infielder Jackson Crider earned his second consecutive spot after batting .395 with nine homers and 54 RBIs across 53 games, while rookie Colin McClure impressed in his debut season, hitting .329 with five home runs and 33 RBIs.
Greydon Miller and Nick Panagos rounded out the group, with Miller batting .371 and driving in 54 runs while setting career highs, and Panagos contributing a 4‑1 record and 34 strikeouts over 41.1 innings on the mound.
