Mules Shine in Academic All-District Baseball Honors
College Sport Communicators has unveiled the 2026 Academic All-District Baseball Teams, a roster that spotlights the nation’s most accomplished student-athletes who excel both on the diamond and in the classroom.
Among the honorees are five members of the Mules program — Patrick Shrake, Thomas Rioux, Tony Silva, Myles Gythfeldt and Corey Aubuchon — who earned recognition for their combined athletic performance and academic standing.
Selection required athletes to be at least sophomores, maintain a minimum 3.50 grade point average and meet participation thresholds that vary by position; pitchers, for instance, needed either 17 appearances or 35 innings pitched.
Current CSC members nominate candidates, ensuring that the accolade reflects peer validation as well as statistical achievement, and the honor underscores the growing emphasis on holistic development in collegiate baseball.
