A Season of Excellence
Princeton University announced that five members of its women's ice hockey squad have been selected as Krampade/AHCA All-American Scholars for the 2025‑26 season, a distinction that celebrates both athletic performance and academic excellence.
The honor is reserved for student‑athletes who maintain a minimum 3.75 grade point average each semester while appearing in at least 40 percent of their team's games, with special provisions for those sidelined by injury or serving as backup goalies.
Among the recipients are Teja Gatfield, Taylor Hyland, Ani Kozak, Emerson O'Leary and Issy Wunder, each of whom contributed significantly to the Tigers' historic campaign that culminated in an ECAC Championship and a berth at the NCAA Tournament.
Head coach Courtney Kessel praised the scholars, noting that their dedication on the ice mirrors the rigor they bring to the classroom, and that they have set a new benchmark for future cohorts within the program.
Beyond individual accolades, the team's success reflects a broader culture of achievement at Princeton, where athletic ambition and scholarly pursuit are pursued in tandem, reinforcing the university's reputation for producing well‑rounded leaders.
