Five Sycamores Honored on 2026 CSC Academic All‑District Team
Indiana State University announced that five of its baseball players have been selected for the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All‑District Team, a distinction that acknowledges both scholarly achievement and competitive performance on the field.
The honorees — Jack Armstrong, Carter Beck, Ryan Karst, Carson Seeman and Nick Sutherlin — each maintained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, meeting the academic threshold that governs the nomination process.
Armstrong, a senior majoring in Organizational Leadership & Supervision, carries a 3.81 GPA, while Beck, a junior in Finance, posts a 3.96 GPA. Karst, a senior in Engineering, holds a 3.98 GPA, and the graduate students Seeman and Sutherlin, both pursuing MBAs, report GPAs of 3.86 and 3.92 respectively.
Eligibility Criteria and Academic Standards
To qualify, student‑athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically, have participated in at least 75 percent of their institution’s games or started at least half of them, and pitchers must meet specific appearance or inning thresholds.
