The surge mirrors a broader expansion across Georgia, where the Georgia High School Association launched a statewide tournament in 2020 and crowned champions in five enrollment divisions last year.
Calvary Day stands as the only program from the Greater Savannah area to capture a state title, while Jenkins fought its way to the Division 2 finals before falling to nationally ranked Greenbrier. Both schools, along with Greenbrier, are listed among the organizations driving the sport’s competitive depth.

With a roster of top returning players published for the 2026 season, the region is poised to showcase a deep talent pool.
