A Season of Visibility
Florida A&M’s football program will step onto national stages throughout the 2026 campaign, with eight contests confirmed for broadcast or streaming. The schedule blends traditional power‑conference foes with historic HBCU rivalries, positioning the team for heightened exposure and recruiting momentum.
Four of the games will air on ESPN Networks, including the marquee Orange Blossom Classic against South Carolina State on September 6 at 3 p.m. Eastern, broadcast on ESPNU. A September 10 showdown with the Miami Hurricanes follows at 8 p.m., carried on the ACC Network via the ESPN app, giving the Rattlers a prime time slot against a perennial ACC opponent.
The remainder of the televised slate will stream on the HBCU GO platform, which will also host a series of homecoming contests. FAMU travels to face Jackson State on October 17 for the Tigers’ homecoming, then returns to Alabama State on October 10 for a similar celebration. Additional HBCU GO dates include the Florida Classic versus Bethune‑Cookman on November 21, a matchup with Tennessee State on September 19, and contests against Arkansas‑Pine Bluff, Southern Jaguars, and others later in the fall.
Beyond the televised games, the schedule includes non‑broadcast matchups such as early‑season games against Albany State and Alabama A&M, as well as later contests with Alcorn State and Mississippi Valley State. These games will be played at various venues across the Southeast, including Tallahassee, Birmingham, and Itta Bena, providing a geographic spread that underscores the program’s regional footprint.
University officials say the expanded media presence reflects a strategic effort to amplify the Rattlers’ brand, engage alumni, and attract new fans nationwide. By leveraging both traditional networks and digital platforms, Florida A&M aims to deliver a compelling narrative that extends beyond the field and into the broader cultural conversation surrounding HBCU athletics.
