Preseason Honors for Florida’s Key Playmakers
The University of Florida announced that junior center Harrison Moore and senior running back Jadan Baugh have been placed on the preseason watch lists for two of college football’s most respected individual awards.
Rimington Trophy Watch List
Moore, a 6‑foot‑4, 293‑pound transfer from Georgia Tech, earned a spot on the Rimington Trophy list, which honors the nation’s top interior linemen. The award committee relied on Pro Football Focus play‑by‑play data that showed the Gators’ line surrendered just nine sacks last year, a statistic that helped Moore stand out.
Having succeeded Jake Slaughter, who was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2026 NFL Draft, Moore is expected to anchor the interior of Florida’s line and maintain the unit’s reputation for durability.
Maxwell Award Outlook
Baugh, a 6‑foot‑1, 228‑pound back, appears on the Maxwell Award preseason watch list. In 2024 he ranked third in the SEC with 1,170 rushing yards and eight touchdowns, and he added 21 receptions for 185 yards and two scores.
His breakout game came in the season finale against Florida State, where he logged 266 rushing yards — the second‑highest single‑game total in school history behind Emmitt Smith’s 316‑yard effort in 1989.
That performance placed Baugh among the elite, marking him as the tenth Gator running back to eclipse the 1,000‑yard mark in a season and the first since Kelvin Taylor in 2015.
The Maxwell Award will announce its semifinalists on November 10, reveal the final three on November 24, and crown the winner on December 10 at the ESPN Home Depot College Football Awards Show.
