A New Roster Landscape
Florida Gators head coach Jon Sumrall has announced that 60 scholarship athletes will return from the 2025 roster, while the program welcomes 34 transfer additions and 24 incoming freshmen for the upcoming season. The move creates a near‑balanced mix of experience and new talent, setting the stage for a competitive training camp.
Sumrall emphasized that the staff’s strategy hinges on integrating the newcomers quickly, using the existing core as a foundation while injecting fresh energy across every unit. The coaching staff believes the blend will enhance depth and provide flexibility in scheming for different opponents.
