A Loaded Schedule
The 2026‑27 SEC men’s basketball schedule was recently unveiled, and the Florida Gators will face a gauntlet of opponents that includes double‑headers against both Georgia and South Carolina.
In addition, the Gators are slated for two meetings with Texas, a program that enters the season with high expectations after a flurry of transfers and a strong recruiting class.
Texas brings back standout center Matas Vokietaitis and adds five‑star freshman Austin Goosby, while also welcoming Isaiah Johnson, David Punch and Elyjah Freeman to the roster.
Florida’s own core will be anchored by returning players Thomas Haugh, Alex Condon and Rueben Chinyelu, giving the team continuity heading into the conference slate.
Road trips will take the Gators to traditional powerhouses such as Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Kentucky, while home games will feature matchups against Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, Kentucky, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt.
