While the defense showed flashes of potential, it was the offense that struggled to find rhythm, prompting the coaching staff to turn its attention to the line of scrimmage.
A New Look on the Line
This offseason the Seminoles embarked on a comprehensive overhaul of their offensive front, bringing in a group of transfers that collectively bring 107 career starts to Tallahassee. The move signals a decisive shift from a unit that had been a liability a year ago to a line that the staff believes can anchor a more balanced attack.
Among the newcomers, Bradyn Welch‑Joiner arrives from Purdue and Auburn to take the center spot, while Nate Pabst, a Bowling Green alumnus who earned second‑team All‑MAC honors, will man the right guard. Andre Otto, a graduate of a small college with a diploma in hand, slides into the left guard position, Chimdia Nwaiwu, a Stephen F. Austin transfer, is set at right tackle after a first‑team All‑Southland Conference nod, and Xavier Chaplin, a Virginia Tech transfer, will line up at left tackle with NFL scouts already tracking his progress.
