ACC Kickoff Media Event in Charlotte
The ACC’s annual Kickoff media event will take place in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Florida State will be represented by four prominent figures: wide receiver Duce Robinson, quarterback Ashton Daniels, defensive back Ja’Bril Rawls, and head coach Mike Norvell.
Robinson, who earned first‑team All‑ACC and third‑team All‑America honors in 2025, finished the season with 56 receptions for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns, a performance that also earned him two ACC Receiver of the Week selections and made him the program’s first first‑team Academic All‑American since 2012.
Daniels, a transfer who has logged 37 games over four seasons at Auburn and Stanford, brings a career total of 4,783 passing yards, 1,397 rushing yards and 35 total touchdowns; his career‑high 442 yards of total offense came against No. 15 Vanderbilt, underscoring his dual‑threat capability.
Rawls started seven games at cornerback before a mid‑season injury ended his campaign, but his breakout game at Virginia featured 11 tackles, a tackle for loss and an interception, highlighting his potential on the defensive side of the ball.
Coach Mike Norvell, now the ACC’s fourth‑longest tenured head coach, boasts a résumé that includes 38 NFL Draft picks, 22 All‑Americans and 122 all‑conference selections, positioning him as a stabilizing force as the Seminoles prepare for their 2026 opener.
Florida State will open the 2026 season on August 29 at 7:00 p.m. against New Mexico State, a matchup that will test the new‑look roster and give fans a first glimpse of the chemistry among Robinson, Daniels, Rawls and their coach.
The gathering in Charlotte not only spotlights individual achievements but also serves as a narrative platform for the Seminoles to articulate their goals, emphasizing both competitive aspirations and academic excellence, themes that have become hallmarks of the program under Norvell’s leadership.
