The Road Ahead for Florida's 2027 Class
The next wave of official visits is about to turn the recruiting spotlight onto Florida’s Power 4 programs, as each school prepares to welcome a handful of the nation’s most coveted high school seniors.
Over the coming three‑plus weeks, the University of Florida, Florida State University, the University of Miami and the University of Central Florida will host a roster of top‑ranked prospects, many of whom are among the top ten in the USA TODAY Florida Network’s 100‑player list.
While several commitments have already been secured, the most highly rated uncommitted athletes — including wide receiver Eric McFarland, linebacker Kaden Henderson and wide receiver Osani Gayles — are slated to make their decisions known after these trips.
Among the visitors, Florida’s own wide receiver Elias Pearl is set to tour Georgia and Ole Miss after his Gators commitment, while edge rusher Fred Ards III will test the waters with stops at Alabama and Texas A&M before returning to Gainesville.
The ripple effects of these visits extend beyond individual choices, influencing the overall composite rankings that currently place Miami at No. 4 and Florida at No. 5 nationally, while Florida State sits at No. 40 and UCF at No. 61.
