The Philadelphia Flyers announced the signing of forward Carl Grundstrom to a one‑year contract worth $1 million, a move that secures the 28‑year‑old’s services for the upcoming season.
Grundstrom, who turned 28 on December 1, 1997, has compiled 89 points (52 goals, 37 assists) over 339 NHL appearances with the Flyers, San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings, and has added three goals and three assists in 20 playoff games.
During the 2025‑26 campaign he recorded 13 points (9 goals, 4 assists) in 47 games for Philadelphia, ranked third on the club with 139 hits, and enjoyed a four‑game goal streak from December 22 to December 30, 2025.
The forward began the season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL, posting 19 points in 19 games before earning a call‑up, and he has previously accumulated 87 points in 118 AHL games across Lehigh Valley, Ontario and Toronto.
Internationally, Grundstrom has represented Sweden at four IIHF World Championships and three World Junior Championships, bringing valuable experience to the Flyers’ roster.
