Fordham University’s men’s basketball program has unveiled its non‑conference schedule for the 2026‑27 season, a slate that blends early‑season road tests with a string of home contests. Coach Mike Magpayo outlined the plan, emphasizing the mix of familiar rivals and new challenges that will shape the Rams’ preparation for Atlantic 10 play.
Opening Night in Lawrence
The season kicks off on November 2, 2026, with a road game at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. The matchup against the Jayhawks provides an early test against a traditional powerhouse and sets the tone for a demanding non‑conference slate.
Following the Kansas game, Fordham will return home for a series of nine non‑conference contests that begin with Stonehill College on November 5. The Rams will then welcome Iona University, marking the first meeting since 2006, and LIU Brooklyn, before heading west for a Palm Springs swing.
Palm Springs Swing
In late November, the team travels to Palm Springs, California, where it will face Portland State University on November 21 and San Diego State University on November 22. The back‑to‑back games offer a chance to build momentum before returning to the Bronx for a rivalry showdown.
After the California series, Fordham will host Mercy College on November 25, then journey to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to take on Harvard University on November 28. Both games are part of a schedule that balances home comforts with testing road environments.
Home Stretch
The non‑conference portion concludes with five consecutive home games beginning December 1 against Boston University. The stretch continues with matchups versus the University of St. Francis on December 3, a home game against Fordham University on December 7, Bryant University on December 10, and a final contest against Central Connecticut State University on December 20.
Season tickets for the 2026‑27 campaign are now available, with prices starting at $230. The schedule reflects Coach Magpayo’s intent to blend competitive challenges with opportunities for the Rams to showcase their growth in front of home crowds.
